The Cairn Terrier Club of Northern California (CTCNC) founded on October 27, 1967, is a dedicated community of Cairn Terrier owners, breeders, and enthusiasts who share a deep love for this bold and lively breed. The Club is an affiliate of the Cairn Terrier Club of America (CTCA) and is recognized as an American Kennel Club-licensed specialty club, working to support the breed through education, events, and responsible ownership.


Mission & Purpose
Promote and preserve the Cairn Terrier: CTCNC connects people who love Cairn Terriers — from seasoned breeders and exhibitors to new owners — fostering appreciation for the breed and its heritage.
Education and community: Through seminars, meetings, and outreach, the Club supports learning about the breed’s standard, care, grooming, and health.
Events and engagement: Members and guests enjoy breed-specific activities such as dog shows, specialty events, educational talks, social gatherings, and breed-focused seminars.
